Robinhood exchange: the app, the chain, and the on-chain exchanges

"Robinhood exchange" is one of those search phrases where three different things share a name, and which one you want depends on what you are trying to do. Disclosure up front: this blog is published by Splitshot, a DEX on Robinhood Chain, and Splitshot is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Robinhood Markets, Inc.
Meaning 1: the Robinhood app
Robinhood, the brokerage, lets you buy and sell stocks and crypto inside its app. It functions like an exchange from the user's point of view, but it is a custodial service: Robinhood holds the assets, sets the listing menu, and trades settle inside their systems rather than in a wallet you control. If that is what you were looking for, robinhood.com is the place, and nothing on this page applies.
Meaning 2: Robinhood Chain
In July 2026 Robinhood launched Robinhood Chain, a public Ethereum L2 built on the Arbitrum Orbit stack, chain ID 4663, with ETH as the gas asset and blocks landing roughly every 100 milliseconds. It is not an exchange itself; it is the settlement network. Its headline theme is tokenized real-world assets, and its opening week was unusually loud: press coverage put the first seven days at roughly $3.1B in DEX volume, briefly ranking the network top five by DEX volume (as of July 2026). The full primer is at what is Robinhood Chain.
Meaning 3: the exchanges on Robinhood Chain
The actual trading venues on the chain are decentralized exchanges, deployed by third parties:
- Uniswap, the chain's primary AMM since day one (v2, v3, v4, and UniswapX), carrying about 99.5% of DEX volume per Uniswap founder Hayden Adams in July 2026.
- Splitshot, this site: a split-route DEX that spreads each order across live fee tiers by simulated output, settles it as one transaction with a single minimum-output floor, handles native ETH automatically, and auto-lists any token whose best pool holds at least $100 in TVL.
On these, you trade from your own wallet. No account, no custody, no listing application: if a token has a funded pool, it trades. A criteria-first comparison of the venues is in best DEX on Robinhood Chain.
Which one do you want?
- You want to buy stocks or crypto with dollars in a familiar app: the Robinhood app. Custodial, simple, their menu.
- You want on-chain trading with self-custody: a DEX on Robinhood Chain. You will need a wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Rainbow, and similar all work once chain 4663 is added) and bridged funds. The canonical Arbitrum bridge lands deposits from Ethereum in about 10 minutes; the walkthrough is at how to bridge to Robinhood Chain.
- You want to see what actually trades there: the price hub lists live prices for every token with a funded pool, around 500 as of July 15, 2026, including meme coins and tokenized stocks.
Once you are bridged, swapping takes a minute: how to swap on Robinhood Chain covers it step by step, and gas on the chain typically cost well under two US cents per swap as of July 2026.
