The fastest way to bridge to Robinhood Chain

There are two ways to move funds between Ethereum and Robinhood Chain, and which one is fastest depends entirely on direction. Going in, the canonical bridge takes about ten minutes and is hard to beat on cost. Coming out, the canonical bridge takes about seven days, and that is where fast bridges earn their fee by getting you out in minutes. This post explains both routes, the real tradeoff between them, and how to avoid the fake bridge sites that always appear around a new chain.

The two kinds of bridge

The canonical bridge is the official Arbitrum bridge, reachable through the Arbitrum portal with Robinhood Chain selected as the destination. It moves assets through the rollup's own contracts on Ethereum. Nothing is fronted by a third party: your funds travel through the same mechanism that secures the chain itself.

Fast bridges are third-party services where a liquidity provider fronts you funds on the destination chain and collects your deposit on the source chain, charging a small fee for the service. Robinhood's official docs name LI.FI, Relay, Across, Stargate and Chainlink CCIP as supported options. The fee buys you time: transfers complete in minutes rather than being subject to the rollup's seven-day exit window.

Deposits: the canonical bridge is usually enough

Moving ETH from Ethereum mainnet to Robinhood Chain through the canonical bridge typically takes about ten minutes. You pay Ethereum gas for the deposit transaction and no bridge fee on top. For most people funding a wallet on the new chain, this is the route to take: the wait is short, the cost is just gas, and there is no third-party liquidity in the loop.

Fast bridges can still make sense for deposits in two cases. First, if ten minutes genuinely matters to you, some routes settle faster. Second, if your funds are on a chain other than Ethereum mainnet, a fast bridge may offer a direct route without hopping through mainnet first. Check each provider for which source chains it currently supports for Robinhood Chain routes, since coverage varies and changes.

Withdrawals: this is what fast bridges are for

Exiting through the canonical bridge means waiting out a challenge window of about seven days. This is not a flaw or a temporary limitation. It is the standard fraud-proof mechanism of Arbitrum-style rollups: the delay exists so that an invalid withdrawal can be challenged before funds leave the system. It is part of why the canonical bridge needs no trusted middleman.

Seven days is a long time to have funds locked, so fast bridges front you the money instead. You send your assets on Robinhood Chain, a liquidity provider pays you out on Ethereum within minutes, and the provider absorbs the seven-day wait itself, charging a fee for doing so.

The honest way to think about the fee: you are paying someone to hold a week of lockup and its risks for you. Whether that is worth it depends on your size and urgency.

When to use which

  1. Funding a new wallet from Ethereum mainnet: canonical bridge. About ten minutes, no bridge fee.
  2. Bridging in from another chain: check fast-bridge routes first, since they may go direct.
  3. Exiting and you want funds today: fast bridge. Minutes instead of seven days, for a fee.
  4. Exiting a large amount with no deadline: get a fast-bridge quote anyway, then decide whether the fee beats the wait.
  5. You want the minimum possible trust surface: canonical bridge in both directions, and accept the exit delay as the price of that.

One more practical note: whichever route you take, leave yourself some ETH on Robinhood Chain. ETH is the gas asset on chain 4663, and you need a little of it there to do anything, including sending funds to a bridge.

Watch out for fake bridges

Every new chain attracts scam sites, and Robinhood Chain is no exception. Fake bridge sites in the style of "RobinBridge" exist, built to look official and drain whatever wallet connects. A bridge is the single most dangerous place to get phished, because you arrive intending to approve a large transfer.

If something feels off, stop. Funds sent through a fake bridge do not come back.
